Large project in a small city centre
Apartments, commercial premises and an underground parking lot are being built in the city centre of Krommenie, at the corner of the Heiligeweg and the Eikenlaan. A construction method where no ground water would be abstracted from the surrounding area was selected for the construction of the underground car parking lot. Van Halteren Infra installed a sheet piling vertical barrier including the bracing and B&P Bodeminjectie B.V. was subcontracted for the soil sealing. The close collaboration between Van Halteren Infra and
B&P meant that the main contractor could start the dry excavation operations of the more than 5,400m2 area of construction site after 30 workdays; eventhough weather conditions were far from ideal in creating comfortable workingconditions.
It is for this reason that we are extremely proud of the superb results we achieved on such a large scale.
